Government Relations
The University of Tennessee is committed to advancing the interests of all Tennesseans through its many partnerships, especially those with our state and federal governments. The university also provides service and support to policymakers by drawing upon various experts, capabilities and resources found only at the state’s Land-Grant and flagship university system.
The university’s Government Relations staff is instrumental in fostering such partnerships by serving as the primary liaison to government officials, advocacy groups and policy makers in Nashville and Washington, D.C. The university’s legislative priorities and outreach are coordinated by the staff in conjunction with the university’s President and Executive Staff.
