UT Board of Trustees’ Committees Meet Jan. 27 in Nashville

KNOXVILLE – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees’ Trusteeship, Audit, Executive and Compensation and Effectiveness and Efficiency for the Future committees will meet Friday, Jan. 27, in Nashville.

The Trusteeship Committee will meet at 10 a.m. CST followed by the Audit Committee at 11:15 a.m. CST, the Executive and Compensation Committee at 11:30 a.m. CST and the Committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency for the Future at 1:30 p.m. CST. All meetings will be held in the offices of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, 1600 Division Street, Suite 700.

Agenda item for the Audit Committee:

  • Committee chair’s recommendation for appointment of the executive director of audit and consulting services

Agenda items for the Trusteeship Committee include:

  • Bylaw amendment to create a Health Affairs Committee as a standing committee of the board
  • Vice chair’s recommendation for appointment of a trustee from Shelby County or the Ninth Congressional district to the Health Affairs Committee
  • Board and individual trustee self-assessment process
  • Update on AGB National Conference and other professional development activities

Agenda items for the Executive and Compensation Committee include:

  • President’s remarks
  • Longevity, retention and performance plan for chancellors
  • Designation of standing committee chairs to participate in the annual presidential performance review process
  • Review of Trusteeship Committee’s recommendation on bylaw amendments establishing a Health Affairs Committee of the board
  • Audit Committee’s recommendation for appointment of the executive director of audit and consulting services

Agenda items for the Committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency for the Future include:

  • Revenues and appropriations
  • Institute of Agriculture funding model
  • Best practices showcase
  • EEF calling cards
  • Administrative staffing and expense
  • HR report
  • Knoxville-area IT task force
