UT Board of Trustees Holds Fall Meeting Oct. 17-18 in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE -- The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will meet Oct. 17-18 in Knoxville.

The full board's meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. EDT, Friday, Oct. 18, in the Hollingsworth Auditorium on the UT Institute of Agriculture campus.

The Board of Trustees meeting will be webcast live and archived for later viewing. For a link to the webcast, go to http://www.tennessee.edu/.

Agenda items include:

  • Adoption of honorary resolutions
  • President's report
  • Chancellor Cheek's report on UT Knoxville's Top 25 initiative
  • Presentation by Dr. William F. Fox, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at UT Knoxville, on the state of Tennessee's economy and fiscal conditions
  • Report of the Audit Committee
  • Ratification of vice chair's appointment of standing committees, committee chairs and trustee members of athletics boards
  • Real property transactions
  • Closure of Glocker Renovation Quasi-Endowment
  • FY14-15 operating budget appropriations request for non-formula units
  • FY14-15 capital outlay and capital maintenance projects
  • FY14-15 revenue/institutionally funded projects
  • FY13 annual flight operations report
  • Honorary degree, UT Knoxville
  • Annual Report to the General Assembly

Various board committees will meet both days. All meetings will be held in the Hollingsworth Auditorium. Here is a schedule of their meetings:

Thursday, October 17

  • 11:30 a.m. - Trusteeship Committee
  • 12:45 p.m. - Research, Outreach, and Economic Development Committee
  • 3 p.m. - Finance and Administration Committee

Friday, October 18

  • 8:30 a.m. - Academic Affairs and Student Success Committee
  • 10:45 a.m. - Advancement and Public Affairs Committee
  • 1:30 p.m. - Full Board
