KNOXVILLE -- President-elect Joe DiPietro has begun the process of filling the role of Executive Assistant to the President, which will replace the former Chief of Staff position.
A statewide internal search for the position will be launched in December. Chief Human Resources Officer Linda Hendricks will be the recruiter for the position, and Lofton Stuart, executive director of the UT National Alumni Association will chair the statewide search committee.
A description of the job has been distributed to all UT faculty and staff. The application deadline is Dec. 10.
"I am confident we can generate a well-qualified and diverse pool of candidates from within the University, and I ask your assistance in identifying candidates," DiPietro said in a message to faculty and staff. "I am committed to stabilizing my leadership team, and other key positions within it will be filled through national searches."
The Executive Assistant to the President will be responsible for a broad and complex set of assignments, including:
