UT Effectiveness and Efficiency Committee to Meet Jan. 5

The Committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency for the Future, a special
committee of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees, is scheduled
to meet at 1 p.m. CST (2 p.m. EST) Monday, Jan. 5, in Martin.

The meeting will be held in 206 Gooch Hall at the University of
Tennessee at Martin.

The committee is overseeing a board initiative to review effectiveness
and efficiency while maintaining academic quality.

Agenda items include discussion of appropriation cuts and budget
measures; review of comments from UTalk, a Web site for submitting
comments and suggestions; initial actions underway based on UTalk
comments; and revision and update of indicators and measures.

After adjournment, the committee will hear suggestions from the Faculty
Council, a group of faculty leaders from across the UT system.

The meeting will be available via videoconference at the following
sites: University of Tennessee, Knoxville, eighth floor conference room
in Andy Holt Tower; University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, 205 Fletcher
Hall; and UT Health Science Center, A304 General Education Building.
