Accreditation

The campuses of The University of Tennessee are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS is the recognized regional accrediting body in the eleven U.S. Southern states. When an institution has earned accreditation by the Commission on Colleges, it signifies that it has “a purpose appropriate to higher education and has resources, programs, and services sufficient to accomplish and sustain that purpose.”
