Bob DeNovo

UT has become a family tradition for Bob

Bob DeNovo has been with the UT College of Veterinary Medicine for 30 years and remains excited to be part of the UT family.

He interviewed with the college when it was in its infancy, only five years old, but considers himself fortunate to have gotten the job. "Despite being a young college, the UTCVM had already developed a reputation as a place where teaching, patient care, professionalism and collegiality were valued," said Bob, now professor and associate dean. "I wanted to be part of that team."

His tenure at the University has allowed Bob the chance to establish himself as a professional in the industry who is respected both nationally and internationally.

In addition to enjoying his work with UT, Bob also is grateful to the University for its impact on his family. "I'm glad to have been able to raise my family in a wonderful part of the country where they could be enriched by the University environment," he said.

The UT spirit has certainly been passed on to his family, as his two children, their spouses and two of his nephews are also UT graduates.

Bob and his wife Nancy have two children, Kathryn and Robert. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, fly fishing, traveling and classic cars.
